Own a running solar plant in India. Directly.
We find and check grid-connected solar plants that already sell power under long-term contracts, and see the purchase through. You own the plant company outright. Afterwards, we introduce vetted local firms for operations and security, or manage them for you.
For professional and accredited investors, family offices and institutions. Information only; not an offer of securities.
This is the format every shortlisted plant comes in. Real dossiers are shared only after KYC.
Why India, and why now
Solar is central to India's energy plan, with targets set at the highest level of government and backed by policy, budget and record build-out.
Why we focus on plants that are already running
Most losses in Indian solar happen before a plant switches on: land, permits, grid connection and construction. A running plant has passed those stages and has a record you can check.

Valuation certificate, share purchase, RBI filing within 60 days, and any lender or utility consents.
-
6 · OwnershipRun it your way
We introduce vetted local O&M, security and compliance firms for you to manage, or we oversee them for you and report every month.
What returns look like, and what moves them
The power price is fixed for decades. Your return is not: it depends mostly on the price paid for the plant, how much it generates, how promptly the buyer pays, and the exchange rate.
| Type of plant | Typical tariff | Equity return in INR* | In USD, if the rupee keeps its 20-year trend* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Recent central-auction plant (SECI) | ₹2.4–2.6 | ~9–17% | ~6–13% |
| 2018–20 state or central PPA | ₹2.7–3.1 | ~9–17% | ~5–13% |
| Commercial and industrial buyer | ₹3.5–4.0 | ~14–24% | ~10–20% |
*Illustrative model ranges, not a forecast or promise. Post-tax at the Indian company level, before Indian withholding tax on dividends and your home-country tax. Lower end assumes a higher purchase price; 55% acquisition debt; rupee weakening about 3.7% a year against the US dollar. Each plant gets its own model built from its meter data.

Built on first-hand plant experience
India Solar was founded by Pradeep Kumar, who has first-hand experience of 20 MW of solar plants in Rajasthan under India's PM-KUSUM scheme. That ground experience is what we bring to checking a plant before you buy it.
